PERFORMING ARTS PAVILION AND AMPHITHEATER
The Greater Hollywood Arts Foundation was created to raise $7 million needed to proceed with phase 3 of construction at the ArtsPark at Young Circle.
Phase 3 is the construction of a performing arts pavilion that will house a small studio theatre capable of seating about 350 people in a variety of configurations. A state-of-the-art amphitheatre will open to the park side of the pavilion, designed as a contemporary successor to the old band shell that had been a Young Circle tradition. The new space will accommodate large performances and 500 people in premium outdoor theatre seats under a cantilevered roof along with a terraced lawn to accommodate another 1,500. The amphitheatre and its shows will be the centerpiece of the ArtsPark, providing high visibility for all of the park's other programs and amenities.
